The Music Project

There are so many creative and talented musicians on Youtube. You could surf through the videos all day and never reach an end. Many of these musicans are also trying to get their names out there and get their music heard. So here I will list those musicians who are taking part in this project and are willing to discuss music sharing with you.

Users: In order to use any of the following artists songs you're agreeing to properly credit and link them in your video. First and foremost you need to contact them and have a
discussion with the artist on what you'd like to use their music for. You may simply be looking for a backdrop to your vlog or something more extensive, like a collab. They may also be available to do custom work or vocals. You won't know unless you ask!

Musicians: Share your talent with others, get the credit you deserve and get your music heard by a wide range of people. Get involved in the project, have your name added to the list! Email me at askcarrielee@gmail.com. Provide your youtube link, any other links you'd like to include and a brief description of your music style! You will get to okay every use of the songs you are providing! The users will have to contact you for approval, credit you can provide proper links! Please, share this with other musicians you may know that might be interested!

Catchy, retro-melodies with modern, twisted lyrics. A strong influence of both the original vintage 50's, rockabilly, doo wop styles and their later punk-infused spinoffs like The Ramones, The Cramps, and The Misfits. Some techno-industrial-psychobilly, and a lot of solo singing with a ukulele!

Incompetech
Kevin MacLeod is a very familiar name to most video makers on Youtube. Incompetech.com
has a wealth of styles and genres from which to choose all of which are licensed under creative common licensed. I would suggest making this your first stop when seeking music for videos. These song are free for the user provided you are creditng the creator properly with links. A optional $5.00 donation is appreciated but not neccessary, I personally encourage it.

Royaly Free Instrumentals
This site has very cool background music, mostly hip hop, rap and dance tunes. Great if you're looking for something to actually put vocals to. And it's really free, just download!

Find Sounds
I use this site all the time. Thousands of free sound effects and even well known character voices. One of my favorites.

Creative Commons
Creative Commons (CC) is a non profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative works available for others to build upon legally and to share. By clicking the link above, it will take you to a CC search engine. Here you can search for music, photos, videos, etc that are all licenced under CC. If you search "music" you know that all the sites listed will allow you, in some way, under their terms of use, to use their music for your next project!
This is a great resource for musicians who want more control over whats done their your music without restricting it to the hassles of copyright laws!
